Shediac Bay, NB - William Crandell

My Watermark is Shediac Bay, New Brunswick.

When I was a teenager, 1966 and years around then, every year my father would give me a stick of dynamite in the Spring and one in the Fall. There was a sandbar on Cap-Brulé where we would plant the stick of dynamite and then set it off. Once we blew it up it made a pit that we would use for bonfires all summer long. During low tide we would dig for clams. In the Fall my father would give me another stick of dynamite. We'd steal an outhouse, put it on a raft, push the raft out, and light the dynamite at the last possible second.
