Zhujiang River, China - Victor Pang

Zhujiang River, also known by The Pearl River, is often known as the Canton River is an extensive river system in southern China. I spent most of my lifetime in Canton, for me the pearl River means home. It used to be the symbol of the city, before the Canton tower and skyscrapers. It was a symbol of lifestyle with peace and calm, people living in a comfortable lifestyle. It was an age that people don't have to worry about the economy; It was an age that people don't have to been chased by the fast pace of live style. It was an age that everything seems so clean, simple and clear, like the river.
Back when I was in Kindergarten, I lived with my grandparents, they lived near the river, I still can remember every weekend night we walked 20 mins just to get to the riverside. It was a long walk, but it felt short. My grandfather loves to play chess or cards in the small pavilion. My grandmother will go for a dance with people are in the same age group with her. For me, at the beginning, it was boring because I can't really find something that entertains me. I always heard people talking the great view of the river, but to me at that time was just water, steady and boring. It looks the same to me. I soon find my interest, it was the artist next to the river. There's painter, singer, photographer and so on. There's the professional artist who goes on TV, but also 5 years old kids singing with their father. All the sudden I realize that the view is just view, what makes its beauty of nature is the combination of the beauty and human; Humans live in nature, and nature lives in human's heart.
