Thames River Tributary, ON - John Lawrence

My Watermark is the North Branch of the Thames River Tributary, Ontario.

I grew up on a dairy farm north of Embro, Ontario. Running through the back of the farm was a small creek that eventually fed the Thames River.

The cold, clear water ran swiftly in the spring, but in summer the water flowed lazily. In the mid-1950s I spent hours and hours at the creek.

I have wonderful boyhood memories of playing in the water, exploring the creek bank, watching the fish and listening to the birds nesting nearby.
