I worked in the sawmills of False Creek in the late 1960's. It has come a long way since Expo 86, however, there is a lot to be done. In the late 60's the area was polluted with lumber yard waste (oil, grease, contaminants etc) and to this day anthropogenic sources contribute to pollute the area (boat waste, runoff from roads and more.)
