Sylvan is my middle ground and my sanctuary. It is the middle point between my hometown of Edmonton and my new home city Calgary. When I am missing my friends from home we can rendezvous in the middle. We get to do all the summer activities such as boating, paddle boarding, and swimming. In the winter we get to Skidoo and ice fish. It is close enough to drive to even if for just a few hours of serenity during a busy week. The lake is quiet on one side, full of nature. I've seen eagles, moose, and foxes. The other side offers a busy tourist environment and is the perfect spot to picnic and play beach volleyball before jumping in to cool off.
