On a very hot and sunny August day on Minnesota's north shore of Lake Superior I took a lovely swim in Lake Superior, at Tettegouche State Park where the Baptism River empties into the lake. Surrounding me were many other families and groups of friends also enjoying the cool water on a hot day. The north shore of Lake Superior is a favorite spot for many of us living in Minnesota and the surrounding region. We bike, camp, kayak, hike and so much more along the shore of the Lake and enjoy its history, beauty and power. It's a part of our culture and a place where we come together and enjoy life.
