Douro River, Portugal - Betty Manso

My Watermark is the Douro River, Portugal.

My husband is from the northern part of Portugal. Water is very important for growing grapes, tourism, and sustaining farms with sheep for the production of cheese. This is the Douro River. We have taken a 6hr tour of this River in the past, and its significance cannot be overlooked. This River also has a series of locks to control the water flow.

This picture of that section of the Douro River passes through a village called Foz do Sabor near the village of Moncorvo.
