I’m William Tozer and I’m the Moose Riverkeeper.

I like this area because it’s very secluded, there’s not a lot of people around. We used to trap here when were younger, with my dad and my grandfather, over the years and probably in the early 70’s. At that time we had float planes, this was one of the areas that there was enough room to land the float plane without hitting any rocks, there’s a bout a mile stretch here where the water’s fairly deep. This was one of the locations that we would stop at so the plane could land here so you can get back to Moosonee, which at that time was where we lived.
