Spring Creek for me is home, I grew up along this creek. A road led to our house too, but we lived along the creek. Places were either upstream or downstream, but most often downstream, as we lived in the headwaters of the watershed. Downstream, also along spring creek, lived a childhood friend. Along Spencer creek (which is fed by spring creek) was my school. Our closest city, Hamilton, was downstream. My concept of place was, and still is, intimately tied to the water.
