I have grown up visiting my family cottage on Crane Lake. I spent summer days splashing along the beach and swimming the clear waters, summer nights on shore roasting hotdogs on a campfire and playing cards around the table. I spent winters riding a snowmobile across the frozen lake and playing on the snowy cliffsides. I spent weekends with family and friends and most of all, I loved swimming. My mom would have to drag us kids out of the water to eat, we’d be out on the beach until it was dark and cool, my fingers would prune up and I’d keep swimming. Every year, I would look forward to the two weeks up at the cottage through the summer. And even now, after I had to move out of the province for work and was finally able to get back home, my first weekend I came up to the lake. These waters are home to some of my favorite memories and I know I will continue to enjoy my weekends out on the water.
