When I was young at the lake, I remember the sound of fish jumping from the water and birds chirping and the sound of boats fishing on the water. I remember swimming in the lake all day. The water was a perfect temperature, and would always be calm, and clean.

When I was young at the lake, I felt the sand under my feet. It felt like the sand formed the shape of my feet while I walked out to the wooden raft in the lake. When I climbed onto the raft it would shake like I was on a boat in the storm. It was a challenge to get on it, and I would sit on the edge of the raft with my toes in the water. I remember how it got so hot that my body was burning, I would jump in the lake and it would be so refreshing. It was like walking into an air conditioned room in the summer when you've been outside all day.

When I was young at the lake, I remember kayaking around the small island, 75 feet from shore. The island had lots of trees on it and lots of animals. When I kayaked in the bay, I felt so peaceful. I felt the security of the island being enclosed. I looked at the lily pads in the shallow water and I could see little fish swimming around there. I would often return there to fish hoping to capture a bass or a pike or perch or a trout. When I cast I would try to avoid a log or weeds but I wanted to land near the weeds because in the weeds is where the big fish swam.

At the lake, I always liked to snorkel in a bay with my uncle. We would look for cool stuff like big fish and lures. I would always see things like logs, or fish or rocks or even old bottles. When it was deep enough I couldn't see the bottom because of how murky it was. I always thought it looked like a foggy day. I will always remember the snorkeling and it is something I wish to do again. It is something I will remember forever.
