Shediac Bay, NB - Ejune K
When I was young at the beach, I remember running with my friends across the sand. I worried I would step on anything sharp like a crab, a rock or a seashell but this worry would never stop me. I remember running to the water with my friends and getting excited to swim. I would sit at the shore, where the water and sand meet, and gaze up at the big, blue, pretty sky.
When I was young at the beach, I remember hearing seagulls caw and the waves gently hit into the sand. I remember feeling the soft, smooth and warm sand in between my toes and the warmth of the sun on my skin. I remember feeling the gentle breeze as I heard other people have fun in the distance. I would feel the cool water splash against my ankles as I talked, hungout and played with my friends.
When I was young at the beach, I was excited to spend time in the company of my friends for the rest of the day. I felt happy, calm and excited for the adventure ahead. I remember realizing that the fun would end soon, and I would try to enjoy the moment as much as I could. I remember looking at the sky feeling happy, alive and free.
At the beach, I would always try to find something cool like a shiny rock or a pretty seashell and show it to everyone else. I remember getting excited to bury myself in the sand. I remember playing catch with my friends in the warm, sunny weather. I will never forget having so much fun with my friends at the beach.
