Beach in Ontario - Hosna H

When I was young at the beach, I would see geese, big, white, and loud. I would always try to go near them and pet them, but never had the courage. I was afraid they might bite me.

When I was young at the beach, I only sat near the water. Going in was never an option. I knew how to swim, but this was the first time at the beach. The water, murky, cold and forever moving, stretched out infinitely. A swimming pool offered me more security.

When I was young at the beach, my mom would always prepare a picnic for us. I remember smelling the ham sandwiches. I would already taste the saltiness of the ham along with the squishy soft white bread. We would always have apple juice with our picnic.

At the beach, I would sit by the water with only my legs floating effortlessly. Half of me would be in the water while the other half stayed dry reading a book.

I remember always looking forward to playing in the sand, watching the geese, and having a picnic with my family.
