Caribbean Sea, Cayman Islands - Kenyon S

On March Break of 2019, my family and I went on a cruise. One of our ports was in the Cayman Islands. We had an excursion booked to go see stingrays, so we had to wake up really early in the morning to get ready.

Off we went and it was really cool to listen to the tour guide tell us all about the island and some cool facts about it. When we got out of the bay it got kinda cold but not to bad. It was a really long boat ride and I got really board but I knew it was worth it. When we got there they told us not to pick up the sting rays and that they would go get them for us.

My dad and I got in the water and my sister followed. The tour leaders went to find a stingray. They found a really big one and a baby one and brought them back to us. They asked us to form a circle so we did and they passed around the stingray. I was scared to touch it at first but when I touched it it felt really cool they felt velvety. Then we got to feed them and that was also really scary to do because they quickly suck up what is in your hand. That’s my Watermark.
