I lived by Lake Ontario in Toronto for over thirty years. While I swam and paddled many lakes in Ontario, Lake Ontario is the one I always come back to. It has a good beach and many waterways at the centre island. Good for both swimming and paddling. It also has a waterfront that is always nice to visit both in winter and in the summer.
