Jericho Beach, BC - Student

It was early in the morning, I couldn't wait to enjoy the waves at Jericho Beach. The sun rose above the horizon, casting hues of orange and crimson in the sky. A salty ocean breeze filled my nose, awakening my senses. I gingerly stepped onto the cold, dark sand. As I continued to walk, my toes were bleeding from the barnacles and broken shells. I waded into the pristine, sparkling water and I was hit with a wave of icy water, sending shivers down my spine, The water was so cold, but o crisp and refreshing, As the waves gracefully washed over me my mind was at bliss. I walked deeper and deeper, my eyelids were getting heavy. My mind wandered off into nothing when suddenly a freezing wave washed over my face. I got back to my senses and retraced my steps and got back to my family.
