My Watermark is Lake Ontario in Kingston, ON.

My most powerful memory of the Kingston Waterfront was the time I was a newly resident in Montreal, and discovered sailing - on lake of two mountains.

Then, one wonderful summer, further west to 1000 islands. I thought I was in heaven - spectacular scenery, the lulling motion of the boat, at night, as I slept on the deck, under the stars..swimming..to Kingston, the lake...open water waves, violence and sea sickness.

One of water's less pleasant effects on the human condition. Sailing was wonderful - until you got to Kingston...
