My name is Jaynne Carre and I grew up along the North Saskatchewan River. I have a couple of memories. Many years ago we were canoeing down the river planning on camping. It got too dark so we stopped at the first land that we found. When we woke up in the morning we discovered it was an island in the middle of the North Saskatchewan. The next day we continued on and we decided to do our paddling skills. Where the High Level Bridge is, we went in between the pylons going upstream. It was kind of a neat maneuver, loved it!
