In grade 9, my mini school class went on a field trip to Deep Cove in the Indian Arm where we spent the day kayaking. We were able to enjoy the outdoors and ate our lunches on a beach. My paddling partner and I were able to build trust while working hard together, though we weren't as competitive as other pairs. She definitely remembers the day because she still has a scar to commemorate it.
