My name is Todd Babiak. I’ve written five novels and I’ve written one non-fiction book. For about 8 years I was a journalist – some freelance, some staff journalism. And after being here I started to realize that I think I have more to say about and more to think about water than I thought I did.

The great thing about all of you is that you make it simple because I think we all do have those connections to water. My grandfather, my mom’s dad, when he was young he bought some land on the side of a lake, Skeleton Lake. So when I was a kid, I spent every summer at Skeleton Lake, which was an hour and a half from where we lived.
