St Lawrence River, ON - Roman K

When I was young at the river, my god brother and I would often play by the water with the refreshing breeze. Once we got tired, we would go sit on the rocks while we dangled our toes through the energizing cool water. We would listen to the birds sing and the gentle waves crashing on the rocks, as the sun would hit our bodies and our parents would remind us to put on more sunscreen.
When I was young at the river, my family and I would go to a city nearby our hotel, then we would drive off to find parking and go whale watching. I remember getting out of the car, the combination of fresh grass, river water, and clean air gave a welcoming relief to my car sickness. We started to go close to the railings and look ahead, we would sit on the bench and have our snacks while patiently waiting to see a whale, I remember sitting there for an hour and being disappointed that I didn't see a whale, but I had a very fun time conversing with my parents and friends about all our plans after this trip.

When I was young at the river, at dusk my family and I would always walk close to the water, listening to the waves crash on the rocks. We would make plans about what we were going to do the following day. As we started to head back, I remember how we could hear our stomachs grumbling. As hunger overtook us on our walk back to the hotel, we could already start smelling the food that my godfather was making, the lobster, the instant noodles and the shrimp I was ecstatic to be eating after a long day.
At the river, I will always remember the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks and the birds singing and the sound of the air flowing through the woods. Another thing I will always remember is the amount of fun I had with my family, especially my godbrother, and our memories when we were young were beyond incredible.

I remember us playing hide and seek, and I would always win because I would hide behind a tree, and another game we played was tag, and he always won because he was a fast runner. I am sad that those times are done, but I really look forward to returning there someday.
