Lake Huron, ON - Emma O

When I was young at the beach, I would look around and hear the noisy, splashing, speckle waves, which would intrigue me into the freezing water. The sun would glisten over the big, bright, vibrant shore, catching my attention and leading me to the dreamy water. The swooshing and splashing of the huge waves, becoming louder than the lively, vigorous, outstanding music. The music blending in with the waves always made me feel a certain sense of calmness.

When I was young at the beach, I would feel mesmerized by the radiant, colourful, bright sunset. I remember the different warm colours reflecting over the calm, dark, cold waves. I remember admiring the sunset more than anything before it became dark and quiet. While I would be eating at the nearby restaurant drinking my sweet and sugary strawberry daiquiris, I remember noticing the large, bright, luminescent moon outshining everything and anything around it The moon would light up the silent water, with stars as luminescent as the moon surrounding everything.

When I was young at the beach, I remember the stinging, prickly, painful feeling of the different seashells poking my feet. The tiny swirly seashells would hurt the most, but these same seashells made me ignore the pain because of their unique beauty. I remember collecting variousshiny and glossy rocks at the beach. I would collect, big, small, outstanding, dull and vibrant rocks because I enjoyed looking at the variety of beauties all over the beach.

At the beach, I remember the burning hot sand would always give me a relaxing feeling against my body due to the bright sun. The round gleaming sun reflecting over the clear shore made me calmer than ever, but now the clean shore doesn't look or feel the same way remember how my beach was ethereal, and it looked whimsical and healthy. Although this beach isn't the same as it was, I still get the same nostalgic feeling that I had when building sand castles or finding my prickly, shimmery seashells and stones. I see the water changing colour, from a light blue, to a murky dirty water. The washed up plastic and litter washing up on the shore, makes me imaginef how it would only be the lovely and lingering seashells were washing up on the shore.
