Born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario, most of my fondest memories are rooted in summers spent by the Credit River, where it flows into Lake Ontario. Every year, I looked forward to long walks along the shoreline and time in the green spaces around Port Credit with family and friends. Whether it was quiet moments alone watching the water, or simply being outside with close company, the river and lake were a constant backdrop to my summers.

Having access to this environment gave me more than just good memories. It sparked a deep appreciation for natural spaces and a commitment to protecting them. Witnessing the effects of urban growth and pollution over time has only strengthened my passion for safeguarding our waters. That connection ultimately guided my decision to pursue a career in the environmental sciences.

I hope to give back by supporting efforts to protect and restore the water bodies that shaped both my childhood and who I am today.
