My dad was a fisherman in Tofino, which is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. Almost every summer, I go with him to work and to visit Long Beach. The waves are always so peaceful and the water teems with life. When my dad drives the boat out to fish, we would always see killer whales or sea otters swimming. however, on the docks, the fisherman would often discard their garbage and food waste right in the water,and the water around the docks turned murky and contaminated. Seeing the marine life in the open waters motivates me more to stop the pollution of the Pacific Ocean and promote sustainability.
