Hi, my name is Robert Taylor and I’m from Isle aux Morts, a little community on the Southwest Coast. I’m a deckhand with McKeil. I’ve been working with McKeil for seven years. My most powerful memory of water was when I was 10 years old, my first time fishing with my dad. We went fishing in a little town called La Poile. We went lobster fishing and I’ve loved the water every since. Water is important to me because water has always been, I’d like to say, in my genes. My dad fished all his life. I fished for 17 years and then I came to McKeil when the fisheries started. As luck would have it, they gave me a job. I’ve enjoyed every moment.
