Georgian Bay, ON - Simon C

When I was young at the bay, I swam in the water, I climbed on the rocks and I walked through the forest. I remember swimming in the cold, deep blue water of the bay. I remember climbing on the sharp jagged rocks sticking out of the cliff side. When I was at the bay, I would walk through the forest of pine and oak trees. When I was young at the bay, I was excited because it was my first time rock climbing outside. I was nervous because I was climbing up and down cliffs with nothing below to catch me, but a four-inch mat below me, the only thing between me and the rocks.

When I was young at the bay, I could hear the water crashing into the rocks. I would listen to the birds chirping and the sound of small animals running through the leaves in the forest. I could smell the freshwater and the fish and the moss on the rocks. At the bay, I remember feeling strong when I had to walk through waist high water carrying a mat that was taller than me. I remember the long hike to get to the rocky beach and the amazing view of the jagged cliffs and the rough water.
