My parents are newly retired and have a new puppy to keep hem company, named Cooper. They live on a pond, inaccurately named "Lake" Woodcock, that they swim in all summer long. Their dog had not yet been introduced to swimming when I last visited them so I decided to swim. Alas, he could not and was quite scared of the water. But with my dad and a little persistence, we held him over the water and let him kick around for a bit, before letting him swim by himself. After a while, he loved it. But eventually, the cutest image of Cooper was when after his swims, we held him over the water and before he was even in, his little legs started to paddle in the air out of anticipation.
