When I was 6 years old, I went to Salt Spring Island for my first ever family vacation. It was incredibly fun but the water was really cold. We did not bring wetsuits so we were only able to go out by boat. One time we were boating to a nearby cave to check it out. It was incredibly fun but the real laugh came on the way back. My sister fell in that really cold water and screamed from the shock of the cold. The only problem was that if we picked her up, the whole boat would capsize and that was something that was avoidable if she swam the 20 meters back. When she got out, she was shaking and we got her a hot bath and all was fine but for a second it was a funny yet dangerous moment.
