Saint John River, NB - Robert Scott

My Watermark is the Saint John River, New Brunswick.

I've had the privilege to grow up on the Saint John River, and over my eighteen years have grown to love it. I cannot give a specific a specific date or time but I have many wonderful memories of weeks spent at our family cottage. The Kingston Peninsula is somewhere where I can find true peace, and the river is what makes it so special. Countless early mornings waterskiing when the reach is like glass and we are the only one's taking advantage of it. Swimming and jumping off the dock, there is no water more refreshing than that of the brackish Saint John River.

Our cottage is a place where our family would come together to spend time on the water. Whether it be bonfires and lobster bakes beach side or taking a boat picnic to one of the many hidden "treasures" of the river and Belleisle Bay. As my Grandparents continue to age, and my Grandmother continues to suffer from a debilitating disease, the cottage and the river spark fond memories. Although I am only seventeen, days spent at our cottage will continue to be some of the best days of my life.
