Loon Lake, ON - Stella S.

My Aunt Sandy's cottage is on Loon Lake. We used to go almost every summer and I always looked forward to it. The lake is so special to me. It's such a beautiful and calming place to be. I remember jumping into the lake and it was so refreshing. My cousins and I would play in the water for hours and hours.

One summer we decided to go rock jumping. My cousins had already been multiple times so they weren't nervous, but my sister and I never had been rock jumping before. I was so nervous but once I hit the water I felt more alive than ever. The feeling of the nice cool water against my skin was so beautiful. After I went the first time, I just kept on jumping and jumping. I was so happy and I didn’t want to leave.

Loon Lake means so much to me. I haven’t been since 2019 and I miss every second of it.
