Lake Huron, ON - Katie M
My Watermark is Lake Huron, Ontario.
When I was young at Lake Huron, I’d anxiously look out the car window and wiggle my feet with all my bags around them.
As I fixed my gaze out the window I could see tall trees blowing in the wind.
I remember rolling down the window to let the cool breeze in.
I could see all the trees, and some had chipmunks with nuts.
At Lake Huron, I loved the parts at the beach when I would build sandcastles with my brothers, bury dad in the sand, read books with my mom on our towels in the sun and swim out as far as I could until the water was too deep.
We would ride our bikes for miles along the side of the shore. I loved to skip stones in the water, build inukshuks and once we found a dead bird,ew! I also remember slipping on the slimy rocks in the water and finally watching the sunset.
Our first night there we would eat our homemade pizza.
then we would sit around the fire roasting marshmallows.
When we got ready for bed I would get cozy and warm in my sleeping bag and
think of how much fun this adventure would be.
